In Lasik, a laser is applied underneath a corneal flap and cornea is reshaped adjust to the correct image formation. This is a permanent solution to vision problems and involves a specialized laser called excimer

Lasik is largely is very successful solution but each individual has a different condition, therefore the surgery needs to be done after a proper analysis. The following points are taken into consideration:

1-  High prescriptions: If you have extreme eyeglass prescriptions (high myopia or high hyperopia) then you're not an ideal candidates for LASIK.

2- Size of corneas: The thickness of your cornea must be measured because Lasik eye surgery requires the removal of small amounts of corneal tissue. A thin cornea may lead to corneal weakness in later stages.

3-  Dry eyes: If you are suffering from dry eyes, burning, redness, and tearing then you should rethink about Lasik eye surgery because the symptoms may become serious post surgery.

4-  Size of pupils: This condition is less common today but many patients still notice glare, halos, or other night vision issues after LASIK.
